  3. oi to the guy above^ peta are spreading the truth, if it was up to you farmers, we'd kill all the cattle, you make slaughterhouses seem like day camps with your misleading bullshit like putting a happy cow sticker on a pack of meat, its bullshit and not the truth ,animals DIE in slaughterhouses, none of this human **** they talk of, how the **** can killing someone be humane?it aint, and it'll never be, cows are stuck in small crowded places, overfeed till they cant walk and when they are 'plump and juicy' theyre sent be your mummys and daddys feed tonight, it ******* kills me to know theres still so many people brainwashed and fooled by the bullshit you guys speak. oi an to the girl givin up meat, dont let these ******* get you down about doin what you knows right

  4. Several things:

    1. That video is most likely a video of 1 isolated incidence after over 100 hours of filming. All it takes is 10 seconds of signs of cruelty for one person with a camera to post it up online and say that is how it ALWAYS it. That is NOT how it always is.

    2. The USDA DOES control that kind of thing. If that factory farm was doing that ALL the time to EVERY animal you can be sure they would be shut down. The fact that they aren't shut down is just further proof it was an isolated incidence.

    3. Pleae don't base your idea to vegetarian on 1 little video of an isolated incidence. The fact that you got that off of a pro-vegetarian website proves it is propoganda. You need to look for more and not just rely on PETA videos. There are pros and cons to being vegetarian.

If you are willing to accept the amount of time necessary to balance your nutrition and monitor what you eat to make sure you are still getting the required vitamins, then by all means I support your choice to be vegetarian.

But if you going vegetarian is going to impede on your health by making it so you eat mainly carbs and don't seek out other sources of protein and B12, I think you should stick to your current diet.

Its better to be healthy and live a long and fruitful life than to put yourself in a dietary rut over 1 video.

Research other farm practices as well as other types of farms. My farm is NOT like that at all (we don't raise meat animals though). There are other sustainable ways to eat meat, such as hunting or fishing it yourself from its natural habitat, or getting milk and eggs from a local farmer who raises them in his backyard.

Phoenix:  don't criminalize all farmers. Not all of us pump our animals with hormones, and you can ALWAYS look at the lable and choose not to eat/drink animal products that were derived by giving the animals antibiotics and hormones. Its not like we are out to get you with our hormone-laden milk and eggs from our imprisoned chickens.

My chickens are like family pets. They walk around the backyard, have access to an indoor shed, and lay beautiful REAL eggs every day. If you can find a farmer like that in your area, there is NOTHING cruel about eating those eggs (considering they aren't even fertilized and wouldn't result in a chicken anyways).

  5. yes that really does hurt me, and it makes me sick, like literally, i was just eating stir fry and i nearly lost it there, but i mean its the food chain.

lions do it in the jungle, and we do it in factories.

its really not that much different.

  6. what to do.All these are our food.Must kill it first so we can have their meat.it not very savage compare the war AT west Asia still continues n never seen the end.

  7. Let me start off by saying i am a meat eater and drink a glass of milk about every day. But i watched that video and OMG!!! And it is so so so so so aweful. I also cryed when i saw it. Im not that emotional of a person when it comes too "food animals" but it is so terrible. Even though they are used to provide out food it still isnt right how aweful they really are to them. I hope more people will be more sensitive to this issue.

  8. omg,

    i am sick.

    yes, definately cruel.

    god, i hate these

    videos on animal

    cruelty ) :

  9. it was put here for us to eat now i dont agree how they do their killings

  10. Yep.  Sad, but true.  And "free-range" doesn't mean anything.  Those animals are not treated well either.

Someone above me said this: "lions do it in the jungle, and we do it in factories.

its really not that much different."

Are you JOKING????  What lions pump their prey full of hormones?  What lions inprison their prey for TWO YEARS in a tiny cage?  You are mentally deficient if you think it's the same thing!

  11. that is cruel.

Fortunatly not all instances are that severe.

    ( I married a farmer)

  12. I'm 13 and I watched this a few months ago, I'm vegetarian now

  13. Stuff like this is why I prefer free-range, organic meat.

  14. sweety this is propaganda.  that does not happen everywhere.  I grew up in farming and never saw animals mistreated anywhere, not even at slaughterhouses.  Domestic terror groups like PETA would have you believe that every farm is like these singular examples they find.
