Last Tuesday I described a problem with my Gateway 3520 going to "black screen" 5 secs after turn on. You analyzed a cooling fan problem. I removed the cover etc. and found that the fan did not run so I purchased a complete heat exchanged assembly. I have installed the assembly and the fan still does not run. First "power-up" lasted approx. 20 secs before "black-screen" now has returned to 5 secs.
