Sorry I am not from India but I couldnt resist answering. Why not set up a calling center small and personal then do telemarketing for US based businesses. The hourly rate here vs. the hourly rate there is substancial.

I personally am looking at setting up a calling business in Bombay, Im thinking about going there to get an apartment with aDSL line connect to 4 computers and VOIP phone and webcam so I can keep an eye on the apartment office from USA. to do online ad posting and telemarketing.

This is big business idea... feel free to discuss further [e-mail] i have IM and email. Possibly I will partner up with someone there.

there are many ways to business with small capital.

all the healp is available ranging helping you to design your project report to introducing you to key people in that are to arranging a place for you to operate...

but you have to define what business.

first make a budget. the money you have should not be directly invested in market. invest only 40% at first.

if your office/shop at ground floor, you can start business of printing labels on plastic sacks (Baazka) or bags (Pishwi), because there ain't any to do that. and there is large demand of printed baazka or bags etc.

if your office/shop is on first floor onwards, then start a advertising agency (Large scale DTP).

but anyway......   first check yourself for more options, see your experience and interested field, and jump start a new business!

PS: never get depressed if business may suffer on starting few days, you will be up and running soon.
