Laminites - (In case you don't know what this is trying to say, it's what Barbaro developed)

And one more thing, Ruffian broke her front left leg right? Im like 99% sure it was that leg. See, I don't know that much about Ruffian because I havn't really had the time to like read up on her and stuff like that.

So any help could help me and you out a lot! Because as soon as I know the right answers to these questions, I could have my video up and runnig tonight!

So thanks alot!

  1. send me a link to your video!

  2. Mel- The disease Barbaro died from is spelled laminitis. Ruffian broke her right front leg in two different places- I was eleven years old and watched it happen on national TV, and I have never forgotten that awful day. They should have done to Ruffian what they did to George Washington following his accident in the Breeder's Cup this year- it would have been much better for everyone if they had, and it would have spared the filly a lot of pain. Some lessons must be learned the hard way, though, and get repeated many times before they finally sink in.

  3. Hey mel,

    It's laminitis

And it was Ruffian's front right leg

    Yay video!!

  4. LOL Too bad I saw this AFTER I saw the video, which by the way is awesome!

    You did a great job!

    Thanks.
