  1. go to the store and buy some then

  2. designer stores. <33

    duhh

  3. Stop trying to be like everyone else!

Be yourself, people like you more when you are trying to be yourself- not some one else!

    I'm guessing your like 10 - 13 ???

I wear Abercrombie because I like to, not because i'm trying to fit in.

At my school I was the first to start wearing Abercrombie.

Everyone else wears like aero and AE.

Don't be a follower, be a leader and set your own trends.

    :)

  4. don't wear that c**p, develop your own style. look on www.weardrobe.com

  5. lol at least your admitting it instead of insisting that you try to be different.

    okay:

-wear polos (locoste, jcrew, or ae) or babydoll shirts (hollister, abercrombie, ae, etc)

-wear cords (jcrew has the best selection i've seen) or nice jeans (generally dark wash and bootcut, not skinny is best)

-for shorts wear twill plain shorts in colors like navy, tan, and brown

(try abercrombie, ae, jcrew, and aero)

    - for shoes wear flats (forever 21, zappos, piperlime) or uggs

-for purses try vera bradley or somewhere similarly preppy

-instead of a backpack, use a tote bag (try vera bradley)

-wear cute skirts-- not too short, but not really long (try bluefly, jcrew, or ae)

-DO NOT wear leggings, anything metallic, anything from american apparel (plain tshirts and tank tops are an exception), and dont wear a lot of black/neon or other punkish colors

    hope i helped : )

  6. NO, the definition of a prep has NOT changed! Hollister, A&F, A&E, and Aeropostale are NOT PREP!

A prep is someone who wears dressy clothes all the time. Not that c**p from Hollister. They wear khaki pants, a button-down shirt, nice dress shoes.

    Preps look like this: http://content2.myyearbook.com/zenhex/im...

If you wanna know how to be a REAL prep, read this website, it tells you all how to be a REAL prep.

you can't go wrong with bright colors! First and foremost, you need to dress like a prep. Buy clothes that are classic, and clean-cut. Don't be afraid to splurge on these a little, as preps tend to hold onto clothes for a long time. Some recommendations:

    * Polo shirts. These are the ultimate preppy shirt. Lacoste, Ralph Lauren, Martha LeWren, and Tommy Hilfiger have a good selection.

    * Oxfords. Almost as good as polos. The brand isn't crucial here. You can go to A&F for these.

    * Khaki pants. J.Crew and Brooks Brothers have good selections. These are very preppy, and should be your equivalent to jeans.

    * Khaki skirts. These look great with polos, oxfords, and cardigans. They should hit just above or just below your knees.

    * Khaki shorts. Great for the summer. Nantucket, anyone?

    * Grosgrain ribbons. Wear them in your hair. Wear them as belts. Anything. They're good on flip flips, too.

    * Printed skirts; polka dots, stripes, plaid... only one at a time, though. Matching is a must for preps.

    * Flip flops, even when it's freezing cold outside and there's snow on the ground. Tommy Hilfiger and Martha LeWren have good selections.

    * Cardigan sweaters.

    * Tote bags.

    * Anything with a Nantucket or Cape Cod logo on it.

    * Pearl or diamond stud earrings. Ideally, as an old money thing, they should have belonged to your mother, grandmother, or aunt at some point.

remember to make sure your clothes are always clean, and always match. Looking like you got dressed in the dark is a bad idea if you're a prep. When in doubt, go with bright, happy colors.

    Step2

ballet is, in fact, a sport! try it, it's very ladylike. Start playing sports if you haven't already. Preps are always healthy and fit, and the Ivy Leagues love well-rounders. Some preppy sports are Field Hockey, Tennis, Crew, Lacrosse, Soccer, Swim, Horseback Riding, Running, Golf, Ballet, etc. Try to make varsity on any team you are on.

    Step3

OK, so sometimes school is a little gross. but look on the bright side and do your best. Do well in school, and enroll in a prep school if at all possible. If you can't, try to at least act like you are at one, and get good grades. You want to get into an Ivy League school. It's what keeps prepdom going.

    Step4

beautiful and fresh-faced. now THAT'S preppy. Have good hygiene. Take a shower every day, wash your face, brush and floss your teeth, etc. Preps always take care of themselves. It's very important. You don't need to spend a ton of money on your shampoo and conditioner! Paul Mitchell and Herbal Essences are perfectly fine, and preps don't spend a ton of money on things like shampoo. Wear the bare minimal of make-up: lip gloss, cover up, and mascara for everyday. 'Less is more' is a prep creed.

    Step5

smile! Be happy-go-lucky and polite! Preps always have the proper manners, and tend to be happy and bubbly. Be nice! Have fun! Learn the correct manners and use them. Many people think preps are snotty, but that isn't true. Be nice to the world, and the world will be nice to you back.

    Tips & Warnings

        * Work hard in school, always. You can relax during the summer.

        * If you can afford it, spend summers on Nantucket, Cape Cod, or Martha's Vineyard.

        * Splurge on clothes, even if you don't have a ton of money. You'll be wearing them for years to come.

        * Don't follow trends! That's why you can pay so much for clothes; you wear them forever.

        * Get a tote bag. LL bean, with your initials, is a prep classic!

        * Play at least one preppy sport.

        * Own at least three polo shirts.

        * Don't do anything scandalous. Being a bit of a goody-goody is fine, in this case.

        * It will be tough to do this if you weren't born into prepdom.
