I've always wondered if you kick the ball straight out from in front of the 22 metre line but the ball goes out behind the area the ball was kicked from is it a line out from where the ball was kicked or where the ball found touch?

  1. If inside the 22,

where the ball left the field of play.

or where the ball found touch.

    If outsidethe 22,

    where the kicker was standing.

  2. From where the ball was kicked. The same rule apply when the ball goes forward or backwards.

  3. After a try, an imaginiary line is drawn straight out from the place where the try was scored. You can kick an extra point from any distance on that imaginary line. This is why it is more advantageous to score in the middle of the try zone. Hopefully, this site will help you.

  4. if you kick the ball out outside your 22 it is out on the full and there is a lineout to the oppositon from wherever you kicked it from but if u kick it from inside the 22 the lineout takes place wher the ball goes out the only time you can kick it out on the full and lineout from where the ball lands is a penalty.
