  1. well, you HAVE to do High Tea at the Fairmont Empress Hotel.  It's beautiful.  Contrary to the other poster statement, Victoria is not snowy, VANCOUVER has had more snow than they are used to, but not Victoria.  I was there last week and the weather was fine.

If you are going in April, or any time thereafter in springtime, take one of the Killer Whale tours.  There are lots of them, and some guarantee sightings, so check around.  The best ones, in my opinion ( at least if you are the adventuresome type) are the ones that go out in Zodiaks ( rigid sided motorized dingies).  They are a blast!!!

Victoria is a beautiful city, but try to get out to see other parts of the Island aswell, Tofino is beautiful!!!!  Take the Heli-Jet over to Vancouver for the day, and shop tony Robson Street, and walk through Stanley Park, or try the Capsilano Suspensian Brisge.

Ohhhhhh... I love British Columbia.  WE live in Ontario, but go several times a year; we are planning on retiring there!

have fun and Happy Birthday! BTW...drinking age in Canada is 19, so do give one of the clubs a try!
