This is getting ridiculous - how many swimming races have there been?

Inc heats it must be over 200? Also may I suggest to the next person who says the US Gymnasts are hotter than the Chinese, that they take a walk or something LOL

Too many, actually 3 times as many as there should be, We don't have running races in different styles e.g. running backwards, sideways, etc., so why different 'strokes' in swimming ?

Well US gymnasts are hot!  You're right though. Never in the history of the Olympic games have I seen swimming so stressed as it is now. The fascination is due to Phelps's quest to smash the record of gold medals obtained by an athlete.
