ok so once upon a time a prince was playing in his woods with his favorite ball he dropped it into a swamp, the last swamp in the land, He began to cry, a frog popped out of the swamp and asked him why he was crying he told her that his ball fell into the swamp she told him she would get it under one condition, he did not clear this last swamp, her swamp for building purposes like all the rest. he agreed but when the frog gave him his ball he laughed and shouted "i am gonna clear this swamp tomorrow! that way ill never lose my ball again!" frightened she went to the king and told him of his sons promise, He did not see the bad in clearing the swamp.

now my question is, in a scientific way can anyone tell me how the frog can convince the king it IS bad for her and her family?

thx!

  1. he can't

  2. She can shame the king, and make him feel guilty, by telling him how all the frogs will 'croak' if he drains the swamp.

  3. frogs keep a natural balance in the food chain eating insects and flies that would plague the Kingdom if the swamp were removed. Loss of habitat for other creatures would drive them to find other habitats, adapt or die. for insects this would be easier as they have shorter life cycles, reproduce quicker and therefore using natural selection of generations in a short time period can adapt however this can not be the case for the birds, small mammals, amphibians and reptiles that would depend on the swamp that have longer life cycles and reproduce fewer progeny and less during their life time.

.....but the king will probs just keep the talking frog and use it to make fame and fortune ^_^ sucks to be frog!

    hope it helps
