And can you pay for the tipping up front with your credit card

  1. Just returned from a Carnival cruise and they offer room service at any time.  The food is free.  Tipping is automatically charged to your on-board account at $10 per day per person.  The last night of the cruise they will slip your statement under the door.  If you would like to add or subtract any of your tips, you can contact the purser.  Our steward really took care of us and on the last night we gave him $20.  The staff and service is excellent and we had a great time!  Have fun!

  2. I just got back from a five night carnival immagination. It was so fun. They have complimentary room service. Also, you are correct it is 10 dollars per person per day. They put it on your Sail and Sign card. You can just put your credit card as the source of payment for the card and then you really don't need to bring much cash. All you would need would be for food on the ports or taxis. I know we brought way too much cash.

Just another thing to add, the Imagination is really nice. The cruise director "Noonan" is really funny and helpful. Everything is just great. You guys will have an amazing time!!!

  3. We are going too, In just a few days. When are you?

  4. Carnival does have room service.  The food is free, however, the person who brings the food to you will expect a tip.

As for the standard tip (which does not include room service) it is $10 per day per person.  So a four night cruise would be $40 each or $80 for a couple.  You can prepay the tips, which I do not recommend, or have the tips charged to your on-board account, which you can set up using either a credit card or cash (I recommend a credit card) or you can pay your tips in cash at the end of the cruise.

If you order any drinks, a 15% tip will be added to the bill.
