1. On the invitation, it gave me a card to which I reply to and it says:

"We look forward to celebrating with you M________________"

What's the M for, and what do I put on the line? My name?

2. What happens during the services? Is there anything I need to be aware of, such as things I have to say?

3. What do I wear during the services? Formal clothing? Dresses?

4. What do I give as a gift? Money or something solid?

Thanks!

  1. I'm answering this because I would like to know the answers myself (sorry).  The M on the invitation is for Mr. Miss, Ms then your name, but that's all I know about this.

If you have a title like Dr. you can cross out the M and add your proper title.

  2. 1. Put Mr. or Mrs. or Ms. and then your name.

    2. When I went to a bat mitvah, we had to sing some songs out of a book, but it was all in hebrew or what ever, so don't worry, only a few people can actually sing it...haha.

    3. Where a formal outfit. I wore a dress.

    4. I gave money, but anything will work. I advise no gift cards, as they limit the buyer to only a selection of things.
