This is my first time hatching brine shrimp. It been almost 24 hours since i started it. I just realized that there are bubbles building up and some of the eggs are on the bubble and some of the eggs are on the side of the glass. I was wondering if this is normal or not. If it's not is there anyway where we could solve this problem?

  1. That's normal.  You never get a 100% hatch rate anyways.  Most eggs have a 60-70% hatch rate which is considered good.  Don't worry about it as you'll need to use a light to get the brine shrimp to swim away from the egg shells and unhatched eggs when you harvest them anyways.

  2. You should have an aerator making lots of small bubbles. Some eggs will stick here and there but this is normal. In a couple of days they should be hatched and ready for use. You can attract them with a light to the side of the tank and siphon them off into a fine net or apiece of cotton t-shirt so you aren't adding salt water to your fish. Only harvest as much as you need per feeding. (I am assuming you are raising them as food for fish?) Carlo
