Because there is so many arguements in our team about the issues of politeness.

I have deviced a rule.

The social rule used to state - You shouldn't ask for curtian things, you should wait to be offerd.

I have changed this rule.

If you want something, you must ask for it; otherwise you cannot have it.

If I want something, I will ask for it, otherwise I cannot get it.

If we offer each other, it is out of chioce rather than because were supposed to.

If they harrass me about it, I shall make a comapliant against them under 'Chapter 40 - The prevention of harrassment act of 1997' in United Kingdom law, which defines harrasment as causing distress to a person for persistance annoyance unless it is to stop an unlawful act.

  1. Too many rules make it easier to be 'rude'  I say, balls to the rules and do what you want. I you want to offer to be polite, do it.

  2. How about:

Offer if you have something worth offering.

Ask and ye shall find out

    And of course:

Treat others as you want to be treated
