  1. AVG causes more problems....it really has gone down the pan with V8.  Also bear in mind that many problems are caused by malicious codecs that AV programs will NOT remove.

    Use this freeware to fix:

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:

    http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Ant...

Download, install, update and select Quick Scan

    Spybot S&D:

    http://www.safer-networking.org/en/downl...

Download, install, update and Immunize, then click 'Check for problems'

And change you antivirus to one that works:

Avast anti-virus better definitions, anti-spyware and anti-rootkit built in, faster and more reliable:

  2. You got a world class Virus. I have written a batch file to enable everything.

    Download it from :

    http://mannepu.googlepages.com/virus.bat

or  create a batch file with the following commands.

    REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentV... /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

    REG add HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentV... /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

    REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentV... /v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

    REG add HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentV... /v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

    REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentV... /v NoFolderOptions /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

    REG add HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentV... /v NoFolderOptions /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

Please send me a E-mail to mannepu@gmail.com if you still have any issues.

  3. download and run a free tool called "remove restrictions tool"

  4. hi,

try this ..it help me to solve the same problem

just down load the screen shot   from

    http://www.easydesksoftware.com/pcsecure...

  5. Well with avg 8.0 the bugs are not yet fixed so i would use avg 4.8 it is better and more relyable and do you have internet explorer if it works download 4.8 if not reinstall the os operating system

  6. The name of this virus is SSVICHOSST.EXE

some times exists as Newfolder.exe or Microsoftpowerpoint.exe

It spreads through pendrive. Better Disable autoplay on your computer - always

    http://piyushlabs.wordpress.com/ssvichos...

Click the above link for a solution and also to know how much pain it takes to delete this virus.

The following tool  may help you to to enable regedit, run. task manager..etc

    http://download.softpedia.ro/dl/fc31cec5...

download this tool to enable all of them. But this is not an ultimate solution to remove that virus.

    ______________

alternative/ radical solution: (follow this if and only if you think above procedure is tedious and confusing)

Backup your important data to dvds. Delete all partitions, create new, full format all partitions, perform a clean install of windows. Install Avira antivirus ( its free and can detect and delete ssvichosst.exe) Update it with latest definitions.

Now Copy your data back to your computer. Avira scans while copying and deletes any viruses detected. Avira is freeware

NOD32 and Kapersky are equally good but not free.

    _______________

    Caution:

Never double click on any drive or folder

always right click and click explore. if you dont find explore its

a virus.. make this a habit

  7. Try booting into Safe Mode and running a full system scan to remove any viruses that might have infected your computer. Usually you press F8 when your computer is booting up to access Safe Mode. If Safe Mode doesn't work, you might want to consider getting a boot CD to boot into your computer and scan for any stubborn viruses. One good and free boot disc is the Ultimate Boot CD for Windows (UBCD 4 Win) and contains many utilities to help you get your computer up and running again.

    UBCD 4 Windows:

  8. That doesnt sound like its going to be a good day!

Your best start is to read to this forum -

    http://www.castlecops.com/HijackThis.htm...

Which will walk you thru the tools listed -

    http://wiki.castlecops.com/Malware_Remov...

I would highly recomend using one of their "Online" Virus Scanners that will work outside the operating system and inside Internet Explorer. My favorite is TrendMicro House Calls.

    Good Luck!

  9. Looks like AVG isn't cutting it. I would recommend you install Avira instead. I also would install Avira first, and then uninstall AVG...

    Use the following programs:

    Spybot - Search & Destroy

    Avira AntiVir Personal

    Spyware Doctor Starter Edition

    Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Malwarebytes alone should be able to remove the infection with a full scan, the rest of the programs are to protect yourself in the future from other infections.

  10. Best anti virus is actually the windows one. It is called windows live one care and trust me from experience it is the best! Install it run it in safe mode and if that thing doesn't get your computer to work I recommend you reformat your computer. You get a free 3 moth access to windows live one care and that should be all you need for now after that is is $50 a year. Also try a registry fixer if you get all the viruses out and cmd is still messed up means the virus probably screwed up some of your registry files a quick registry scan should help you in that department as well, look for a good registry scanner on google.

  11. AVG free - c**p.

boot in safe mode with networking & do a free online scan:
