my boyfriend works at weis markets in PA and he stayed longer yesterday to get things done he was supposed to take a 30 minute break but clocked in with a 27 minute break as a result he was fired

wait. he was supposed to take a 30 minute break but instead took a 27 minute break and was fired. he was fired because he was three minutes early returning to work? something is missing to this story. either he can't tell time or his boss can't tell time.

Sounds like a sorry reason to fire someone. I think they were just looking for a reason to let him go. He should be glad he was let go. Now he can go and find a real job and a good employer who will appreciate his hard work.

I would bet this isn't the whole story. Nobody gets fired for coming back to work 3 minutes early. Your boyfriend is lying honey.

I'll bet there's more to it than that. There's a good chance he didn't like the job and just quit, telling you this lame story so as to stay on your good side.

He violated store policy for starters. Trust me, this isn't the "real" reason he got fired. There is a lot more to the story than he is telling you.
