This is stupid and racist?

I'm part Middle Eastern and I'm tired of the c**p that we go through with the jokes, why does a small group like Al Quieda (or however it is spelled) get to be the judge of us all?

It's the same thing as to how all motorcycle owners (mainly Harley owners) were branded in the fifties: outlaws. This also spawned the biker gangs like the h**l's Angels and Bandidos. It wasn't until the...I think owner, or someone really high up, of Harley Davidson who released a statement saying only 1% of their riders belong to these gangs, while the rest are law-abiding citizens. I think it's the same thing with Muslims and al-Qaeda: only 1%.

Plus, people are genearlly stupid and stereotype all the time, it's almost human nature now.

people have become stupid and judge mental. the thing is al-quida is made by the CIA. You can't judge a person by their nationality but by their actions. It is like calling all irish people are drunks. people have become ignorant. There are bad people from every race. but is not their fault it what society has made it to be for them by making things harder then they should be. I judge people by there actions not their nationality. People need to grow up and start looking at the person on the inside not the out side.

It's not just al-qaida, but dozens of like minded terrorist groups.   It also has to do with the fact that polls taken in Islamic countries consistently show a substantial number (10-15%) of the people saying they would particapate in armed jihad against the west and a large majority (around 70%) stating that they support the jihadists.    Is not, potentially, 150-200 million armed jihadist and 1 billion supporters of jihad a bit scary?

Hey, I'm part Middle Eastern too and I get all that too.

It doesn't bother me much. At least not yet, because I'm in high school and half of my school aren't even into politics & world events (apart from me =P) so they are all just clueless and stupid. Yes, I do get the occasional jokes like 'Are you related to Osama Bin Laden?' and I'll be like 'Yep, I am and if you keep annoying me I'll get him to bomb your house'

They usually go all quiet & akward after that.... =D
