This is the best i can come out with after months of not writing any poetry. Blank verses anyone?

Blank verses

Like an empty canvas

Stares at me

Relentlessly

Insisting me

To create

Some kind of art

Of hate

Or love

Of joy

Or despair

An art in which

I have lost touch…

Once you begin again, it will start to flow. The trick is to put pen to paper--or fingers to keyboard. This is a good beginning; now we are all waiting for more.

Not your greatest, but it does tell the story of how hard it is to get back into the swing of things after not writing for a while.

yes,

but the soul,

longing to create,

still held,

gently,

by a muse

who fears loss

as much as

the poet.

Reach out,

you will find

there are others,

take my hand,

I will do

what I can,

and whisper,

"Welcome back,

you have

been missed."

I really like it and certainly I did relate to this piece of poetry! I believe that I have read one other from you and my memory serves me it was a McDreamy one! As far as this being better or not better- I just plain liked it and felt it was very appropriate since you have been in a state of not writting or maybe a block of some kind, I thought it was well done! Very....interesting! I think that maybe it could be a bit better. But no one is perfect in any way. So maybe it's just that its too. . .childish? But of course, I could not write anything better.

clear a round.

dump some salt

on Uncle Jack,

bend your elbows

forward back.
