my subwoofers have the 4 post on each woofer and i have them hooked up and crossed. idk if you know what im talking about but i forget the term. im getting a new car and i am trying to have a creme de la creme setup with the subs that i have.. any advice will help you seem to know what you are talking about.. thanks

    i think you are running them to be a final 4ohm load to the amp man.

    check this website out. it shows you how to wire them and get different ohm loads for your subwoofer.

    as a rule of thumb, the lower the ohm load is, the more power an amplifier will produce. but, there are some amplifiers that do not support low ohm loads. to be sure, check the specs on the amp you are using.

    i would recommend you using a class-D amplifier that does 800 watts rms x 1 channel at 1 ohm load *if your using the MTX subs*.

    just about every class-D amp is capable of running at 1 ohm load and still remain cool because others over-heat too much and with heat theres a decrease of watts it will make. plus, its cheaper to buy a 1 ohm load amp that makes 800 watts, than buying a 4 ohm load amp that makes 800 watts.
