what happens when you deposit an envelope with no money in side to your account and you withdraw say a $100 , are you allowed to do this and write down on the envelope your name and say overdraft and than pay this in a couple of days ? thanks...

  1. You seem confused.

    If you are at an ATM and make a deposit of (for example) $100 but do not include the $100 in the envelope, this is called fraud (the legal term for lying to get a financial benefit) and is an offence punishable by prison time in Canada.
