Whenever i run, straight off the bat i get a so called "frog in my throat," if you arent familiar with the term, what i hold to be a frog in the throat is a sort of shortness of breath. When you get it you have to breath in deep and get rid of it. It messes up my breathing in the beginning of the run and my jog/run is downhill from there... This has happened twice now, and i have no idea how to prevent it. Can someone explain it to me?

  1. It could be caused by a lack of hydration, so make sure you've had plenty of water before your run (but don't put away a whole water bottle right before you go - this could cause cramps). Also, this is the sort of problem that will disappear after you have been accustomed to running, so the more you run, the less of a problem this will be.
