Fender® CD-100CE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Natural

The CD100CE brings Fender quality to just about anybody. Delivering great playability, great sound and great looks, the CD100CE features the Fender-designed dreadnought cutaway shape with a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, scalloped bracing, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard, rosewood bridge with compensated saddle, chrome die-cast tuners, satin polyurethane finish and a Fender FTE-3TN preamp with tuner.

Can you tell me the pros and cons about it? Make a good first guitar? Is it worth 250? Better then what you would expect for 250? Is it well made? Good materials? Quality?

  1. Any Fender is good now make sure you play it in the shop though and also look at the Epiphone's cos there also very  good but Fender is still the BEST!

  2. All Fender guitars are well-made. Many musicians use Fender guitars. What makes them easy to play is the strings are close to the neck (and frets). Beginners usually have a hard time pressing the strings to the fret hard enough to make the right notes on each string. Because they are closer, it is a little easier to play and learn on.

  3. This is a good guitar for the money. Wheni rviewed it at the shop, I had to re-string the guitar because the action was too hard and I had to put lighter strings, lower the action.

    Finally, it played pretty well.

Go and try the Takamine G series. They are smaller in body, but the sound and the power is clean. The action is also better than the Fender as well as the playability, finish etc..

What I liked about any Takamine is that, it hardly feedbacks as compared to Fender.

Also, it is very comfortable playing sitting down or standing up.
