Why is the US Flag backwards on ACU's? For some reason I never noticed until looking at pictures of the day my SO left. My apologies if this a totally obvious answer :)

It depicts the flag moving forward into battle.

Think about it this way, if you held a flag on a pole above you and moved forwards, what would it look like?

its to make it seem like you are moving foward. If you were a flag pole and the flag was on you and your moving foward it would blow behind you.

So the flag looks like it's moving forward in Battle...

That is b/c the Flag should always appear as if it is moving forward into battle, not retreating. If they wore it the "normal" way on the ACUs, it would look like it was retreating.
