  1. I eat in a restaurant for the experience. After working all week or all day its nice to relax and have someone cater to you for a bit.

It's different then eating at home. You get dressed up and you get a little excited, have some cocktails with some friends or you and your love and then eat great friend with great conservation. Why would you not go out to eat. Unless of course you don't have the money.

  2. we eat out often....my family enjoys many different foods. middle eastern, korean, thai, sushi, indian, ethiopian, etc.

we are fortunate to live in an area flush with a plethora of these establishments. these dishes are beyond my cooking capabilities.

some of them i can come close and others...well, why mess with a good thing i say!!!

  3. well, maybe some people have no time cooking especially the busy and the working ones... but sometimes I thought that people are sometimes lazy cause they can prepare their food in their own house then what is the reason for going into a restaurant? they can save more money and time in their own!!! so many answers for that, the fact that the restaurant serves more delicious food and you can eat whatever you want without preparing it all by yourself... my reason for eating in a restaurant example when i'm not in home, too tired to cook, and bored from the same dishes... it also depends on you on what place do you like to eat!!!

  4. because i cant cook,  i dont like what i cook, i dont liek what my mom cooks, and i just feel like going out, having fun, and having a good time while eating, different atmosphere than the usual weekday evening @ home...

  5. On my busy day (friday) I have to pick the kids up from school, run pay bills, pick items up for family members and prepare myself to go out with my friends every now and then. And because my fridays are packed and I'm normally in a rush on Fridays, we eat out. Now I rarely eat out during the weekdays. Just Friday.  Now everyone can say what they want about this, BUT Ryans is the spot to be on Sundays after church.

  6. dont have to clean up, seeing other people, not having to spend time cooking, get to eat things you may not be able to make...etc. i usually choose by the atmosphere, if it looks romantic and im on a date i give it a shot. if it looks like its not too expensive but prides itself on its food, then i give it a shot. and of course if i know the food is good, i go back.

  7. what drives me to eat in ata  restaurant is that I like to have someone wait on me once and a while instead of me having to do all the cooking and cleaning.

  8. The quest for asian food that I can't make for myself

drives me to chinese, thai, and vietnamese restaraunts.

  9. I normally go to a restaurant only when I entertain guests. And I'll choose a place depending on what kind of cuisine I feel like eating on that particular night and how good the restaurant reviews are.

  10. I usually eat in a restaurant because I want to relax or eat something that I wouldn't be able to cook at home.  Prime rib or exotic ethnic food, for example.  A good beer/wine selection is also a motivating factor.  These items usually steer me toward my decision on where to go, also.

  11. Only 4 reasons I can think of:

    1. Lazy

    2. Doesn't have the knack for cooking

    3. It's a social thing

    4. Looking to eat food outside of their normal ethnic group/typical cooking

    Hope it helps!
