  1. Yes you'll lose the weight on the scales but as soon as you start eating again it will go back on as it's not actually fat you're losing but just fluid retention! When you don't eat enough you're body go's into starvation mode & stores everything.

  2. i wouldnt suggest that. you can die from drinking too much water because it de-loots your blood. Also if it is only 2-3 pounds that you want to lose why is it such a big deal? you wont look any different. But if its for something like wrestling i see why.

  3. if you drink that much water, you will have water intoxication, and will end in the hospital, probably die. If you survive, chances are you will be an invalid till the end of your life, because you will damage your internal organs.

A lot of people died in competitions, where they consumed a lot of water in short period of time. Initial symptoms typically include light-headedness, sometimes accompanied by nausea, vomiting, headache and/or malaise. They are followed by  cerebral edema, seizures, coma, and death within a few hours of drinking the excess water.

The most recent and notable case is Jennifer Strange, a 28-year-old woman and a mother of 3, from Rancho Cordova, California, was found dead in her home by her mother hours after trying to win one of Nintendo's Wii game consoles in KDND 107.9 "The End" radio station's "Hold Your Wee for a Wii" contest, which involved drinking large quantities of water without urinating.

And it's not necessary a short time period. On October 12, 2002, 3-year-old Rosita Gonzalez died of water intoxication when her babysitter Nancy Gayoso punished her by forcing her to drink three quarts (2.8 liters) of water in a four-hour period.

  5. You will certainly lose the weight, but you won't be able to keep it off. You're much better taking a week or 10 days time to lose that weight. You can do this easily with healthy eating and a regular exercise regimen!
