This may sound silly?

I'm not a good looking guy: 1/10 on a good day. and i want to learn to drive but I am afraid than my face may shock a driver coming in the other direction and cause them to crash. am I being silly?

One the things about driving is that we hardly ever look at another driver unless we are stopped or maybe going the same speed in the same direction...Otherwise, all we see is the vehicle.

no. If you are that ugly.. you won't be able to pass a drivers test. Better look into long term bus/subway passes.
