What is the range of x dosages expressed in mg x/kg body weight for children between 24 and 35 lbs?

x = acetaminophen

what does any of this mean?!?

  1. You wrote one time 24-25lbs the other time 24- 35 if it should be 35 the solution will be the following.

    80mg is in .5 tsp then 1.5 tsp will have 3 times more acetaminophen  therfor; 240mg is the dose for children 24--35 lbs.

    We have to convert lbs in kg. the formula is 1 lb= 0.45kg (about) therefore; 24 lbs=0.45*24= 10.8 kg and 35 lbs = 0.45*35= 15.75kg

    240mg/10.8kg= 22.22mg/kg   240mg/15.75kg =  15.24 mg/kg

    The range will be 15.24 mg-22.22mg per kg :)

    (only if it was 35 lbs )
