This might be a stupid question, but what does this mean?

When an apartment is classified as a 'walk up' what does that mean?

I'm guessing its when the door is ground level, and you have your own private entrance, as opposed to walking in a main door and then climbing a level or walking down the hall to get to the seperate door to your apartment.

It is on the second (or higher) floor and it doesn't have an elevator.  You have to "walk-up" the stairs. It's a term used in older buildings that are 2 or 3 stories high, but don't have elevators.

I think they meant walk in. Which is like a show case of the apartment. Everyone who comes can have an opportunity to view and inspect the apartment.
