If that young father from Whitehaven in Cumbria was proscecuted for not paying his fine imposed on him for not shutting his dustbin down properly Then the Cumbria authority would have a field day where I live (near Peterhead Scotland) as most homes have two big wheelie bins and still have them over flowing. And what happens when it's windy... all the rubbish finds it's way into my garden as we have to put our bins out overnight....the cats just love it..but I hate it. I think that all local authorities ought to provide better facilities than they do. So what do you think the answer is folks, or does your local authority provide adequate provision for the disposing of your rubbish? How can we resolve this problem of rubbish and fortnighlty collections. I recycle and am fortunate enough to have room for a composter, and womery also my family have all flown the coop. It must be hard for family to manage this fortnightly collection.
