And I don't know why it does

I'm familiar with deaths, trauma, sad things, whatever

but this story REALLY hits me hard, and I don;t know why

it's not even terribly sad compared to somethings that happen

idk, i'm just really sad now

like, in a slump

I feel like this ruined my whole day

...and I don't even know the lady or family or anything

  1. It is really outrageous that this woman had to have home care, subjected to a tree falling down, instead of institutionalized care, where emergency generators are required.  When will America learn that home care is a rip-off to all?  Insurance companies have sold Americans an emotional bill of goods that "Mom" will be happier to stay at home, of course raking in more money and putting less out.  But for the family caregivers, dealing with constant care, incontinence, bedsores, losing work time when caregivers don't show up, and eventually losing jobs, places an unfair burden on people simply not able to cope with the demands of healthcare that only an institutionalized setting can provide.  Then the family is left with grief and a sense of failure unjustly when circumstances as a tree falling leads to death.  This is victimization of well-wishing and loving family members by insurance companies, instead of a healthy recognition by family members as to the true nature of physical decline and the toll it takes.
