1. they have very tiny tampons for girls who just start. get tampax pearl they are so easy to slide in. Any super pad is going to feel like you are wearing a diaper

  2. Some women find the slender ones easier to insert, but I had no problem with the regular sized ones when I was your age and had never had s*x before. You will probably be OK with the regular sized ones.

I like to use Always Thin pads with wings. They aren't thick - you can barely feel them, but they do a really good job.

  3. tampons: yes a slender one will for sure be easier to insert since you have never had s*x. be sure if you use tampons to read the insert that comes in the package so you know about toxic shock syndrome

pads: the only thing i can say about that is to buy the thin ones. they have ones that are super thin but still uber absorbent. ALWAYS is a great brand to use

  4. tampons:i first started out with tampax pearl. i didnt really like them becuase they were hard and expensive. then i found playtex gentle glide and i LOVE them. So thats what i use now. becuase playtex gentle glides are softer and made of a different material and they work GREAT! so try playtex gentle glide. also the size wont matter. becuase long, short, skinny, thick..its all the same. it just depends what feels comfterable for you. and use the directions on the box if you dont know how to do it yourself or have your mom tell you how..

Pads: i would reccoment Always Thin with wings. They last me about 6 or 7 hours and they are thing and un-noticeable. some cheap pads are made of this plastic feeling matieral that sticks to your v****a especially when u swet and it gets REALLY annoying. but on Always Thing with Wings they are made of a soft weave material that makes it un noticable. u cant even feel it. and u can get different sized pads too. i use the overnight ones becuase im usually on a really heavy flow and dont want to leak. but the overnight ones are just longer. NOT thicker. But you can get the thicker ones tho. and also try the sented pads. they keep you smelling great and not like blood.

Pantiliners:great when you are wearing a tampon and aftraid you are going to leak or if you have discharge or good if you dont know when u are gonna start then just wear one everyday so it doesnt stain your underware. i would reccomend Carefree Liners. :) plz choose as best answer.

  5. yes i would start out with a slender or light flow tampon....and as far as pads.... they generally will tell you on the box/bag the size of them... they will say thin overnight or heavy flow on them

  6. as for the tampons, yes, the smaller sizes will be easier for a first timer to insert. Be sure to read all the instructions carefully and put it in on a day when your flow is heaviest.

Pads- I know always labels their pads as "ultra thin" I don't use pads, but I did buy some recently because of a procedure that I am having done during my next period. They are labled "long, super, ultra-thin" and they are.

  7. Personally, when I started using tampons i got the ones with the applicator. It is a long cardboard tube that holds the tampon and helps you put it in, size doesnt matter as you stretch down there anyway, it makes no difference once it's inside you.

Pad's well I like Libra, they make good super ones as they aren't like wearing a nappy at all.

Have fun shopping for them, there are so many varieties, soon you will know what you like and you can only try them before you know.

  8. tampons are dangerous. if the string rips it can get stuck and you'll have to get surgery to remove it so that it doesn't affect pregnancy in later life.

as for the pads, I use the brand 'always'. i get the really thin ones and i usually don't even feel them all night and day long. it feels comfortable. they are thin but they never leak through, even after 5 hours of the first day my period ever started.
