  1. Not exactly sure what you are asking but...if you are saying that someone IM'd thorugh your profile page...that is entirely possible because you have your settings on your profile allowing for others to do that.  You can go into your profile and change those settings.  The only recourse that I am aware of for you to review the IM if the window is closed now,,,would be to go to your IM window and click on "Contact" then choose "Message Archive" where you can open any IM's you have received  UNLESS you do not allow your messenger to archive your conversations.  Archived messages from an IM are actually saved on your hard drive and not on the yahoo system but it can only do it if you allow it to archive in your messenger settings.

If you have the person's ID and you feel for some reason that person harassed you, i would follow the other persona advice and file a complaint with yahoo and they will instruct you as to what they need in order to authenticate any issue of abuse.  If want to elaborate or further this you are welcome to email me as I am not entirely clear as to what you are requesting.  The only other thing I can think of for you to do is to enter the ID in the yahoo "Search" feature.  It has been a long tim e since I have used that but I believe you can find it on your regular yahoo account profile.

  2. i wonder how did that person get your serial number from you? It's always forbidden and warned by messenger prior to chat for not giving any personal/ private information in chats via messenger so that the messeger is not responsible for it. Have you saved the chat history to your archives ?,what nick name that person have used or any ID of Yahoo!

If that person has already changed his/her ID and nickname ,it's aimost impossoble to identify that person,

However if the password don work or your account has been taken away from you then you can search for it.

Check Your Name and Password at this Official Yahoo log-in site to check your account>>>http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/..... click Sign in at top and it will take you to the official sign-in site.

Check to see if you can log into yahoo mail here >> http://mail.yahoo.com/

If you cannot sign into either site then most likely you have fallen victim to one of the password stealing scams. Learn about Password Scams and how to protect yourself from them at >> http://security.yahoo.com/password_scams... .

If you think your password/account has been stolen by that guy then read the following link:

Want to Recover a Password to a Lost or Stolen Account read this >>> http://www.bigblueball.com/forums/186568... .

The first option is just to try to get a new password. But if your account was stolen and a zip code changed this will not work. Move on to the other steps, and try to get your account back from Yahoo. Though please note, you will need to know your original account information you use to create your account, such as your birthdate, Yahoo ID, secret question/answer or alternate e-mail address.
