How difficult is it to have a baby while in college (2 year associates degree). I'm married and my husband owns a growingly successful personal training business. We did ttc for about three months but stopped (obviously it wasnt very productive). While I'm excited about school I really want a baby, and I'm torn. So I was just wondering if anybody else has gone through a similar thought process (it's not really a situation), and if someone has been in the same circumstances.

  1. I'm not a mom, and I'm definitely younger than you but I don't know. I wouldn't go into college if I were you and I had a baby. I'd want to spend more time with my kid! (:

  2. This is really up to you and your husband.  It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or has done.  You are the one who will have to be living it, you know?  So, you decide what is most important to you at this point and what you're able to handle.

  3. It all depends on how bad you want to make it work.  There are several people that I was in college with that had children, full time jobs, and went to college.  If you had the desire to go to college and have a kid you can make it work.  I took several classes online and it made it a lot easier for me.  I am not a parent (per my screen name), but you can take online classes any time of the day, and you can take care of your child.  Good luck.

  4. i had a baby during my nursing school years; it took me about twice as long to finish school because i could only go part-time; also, having a baby made it harder to study, but it CAN be done successfully

  5. Hun.... DON'T do it.  Wait till school is over.  It's only two years and will go by super fast.  Having a child takes on more responsibility than you would think.  I've seen my brother deal with it.  It's great that you and your husband are doing good and bettering your life.  I would graduate college and by then your husband will have his business up and established then and only then you will have the means to fully care for a child.  One you are both able to care for the child full-time it will make it soo much easier.  It's hard to explain, but there are things about raising a child you don't think about.  I just suggest waiting two more years till you are both monetary and mentally ready to bring a child into the world.  It's not easy and I wish you both the best of luck.  Hope I've been of assistance.  Good Luck in whatever descision you go with!

  6. You really should wait till after college is done... There are to much stuff in college work to worry about a baby.... so ya you really should wait till after then you should try if you want one.
