This quadratics equation have a conflict if different methods are used:x^2-6x+17=0?

I have selected few method such as the formula, completing the square and calculator.

For formula the answer obtained is infinity, well completing the square and calculator each give a different answer. Can I know what is the problem.

The calculator that I used have the function to calculate quadratics equation.

Well, when graphed on my TI-84, there is no value that x can be.

And b^2-4ac is negative, so in the quadratic equation, there is no value that x can be.

And when completing the square, you get

(x-3)^2= -8

So in all three cases, there is no value for x.

thats a tough one, i would jsut use the formula, because i cant seem to get the square or binomial facotering to work, and the formula is garenteed to give the right answer
