This question has to do with tipping pizza delivery persons.?

Customarily we tip them, of course. But, now our local pizza place (a well-known name) charges a delivery fee. So, do we still tip on top of that to the delivery person? (15 or 20%?) I would hope he gets the delivery fee, since most of the time, he has to drive his own vehicle. If we must tip on top of the delivery fee, I guess we'll just have to stop ordering pizza delivered.

Alot of companies are now adding a delivery fee to help makeup the cost of fuel.  Your driver gets paid mileage by his/her employer.  I still tip the person, its just common courtesy.

I have no idea why though. Maybe it's for the delivery person in case some people decide not to tip?
