ok, last week after i finish my class, i went to buy some books for my classes.. OK, i was looking for some history books, I found the section of the book i was looking for but they're were all used.. OK now get this.. when i open the book.. it looks as it was brand NEW..

i mean.. all the books were Brand NEW.. when you see the pages.. it looks as if nobody has used it yet.. AND all the books were like that.

My question is, even thou i bought my book used, can i still return it after i finish my classes and get half the money back what i paid for?

I seen other people do it,, when they completely finish their class, they would sell their book back and get half what they paid

  1. I'd sell it online and get back  80% of what I paid for. Even for used books, you earn back a lot more online then selling it to the university. Old editions are still being bought since not every professor immediately switch to the newest edition when it comes out.

Anyways, if you find selling it online to be a hassle, then yes, sell it back to the bookstore as new, but remember to take the sticker off and keep it in relatively new condition.

  2. Yes, as long as you keep them in good condition.

  3. if a new edition comes out, you will not be able to return it to the university bookstore.  but you can return it to other bookstores around campus.  also, you probably will get less than half of what you paid.  and on top of all that, you have to keep it in good condition.  but the short answer is yes, you can return your books.  no, your book is not brand new.  maybe a real slacker owned it before you, and never used it.

  4. Maybe. You can't really RETURN it, but you can prob sell it back to the school's bookstore.

If you want to sell a book back to the school's bookstore, make sure it will be used in the next semester.  If not, the school would not buy it back.  Why would they pay for books they are going to throw out??

From what I've experienced, you might also want to sell it back soon as you don't need it. The price of a book will drop if you sell it back after they have enough books for the next semester. (fill their quota or something)

Also... You probably want to sell it to another student. You can prob sell it for more than the school will give you and less than what they will have to pay for it at the bookstore.

If the professor says he/she doesn't use the book, RETURN IT ASAP.

Oooo, maybe you can check a copy of the book out in the library and just keep renewing it.

  5. yes you can. at least that's what i've done.

  6. yes u can just try to not damage the book
