I'm just curious because there are Filipinos going to countries like Korea, Thailand, and China to teach English.

  1. Aside from the fact that English is one of the national languages there, many schools in the Philippines provide classes that teach English, probably since their 1st year of school [for me, anyways]. Also, based on my previous textbooks from 2nd Grade and below, a lot are scripted in English, in fact bookstores in the Philippines [National Bookstore] are filled with books printed in English. And other than English concerning education, many in our society have this tendency to mix bits of English & Tagalog [AKA: Taglish], which in common cases help them improve those into phrases. Seriously, when you visit the Philippines most of the store, transportation, restaurants, ect. will rarely be in Tagalog.

&& I don't really have a problem with Filipinos teaching English, as long as they know what they are doing.

  2. English is one of the two official languages of the Phillipines, most Filipinos speak it fluently.   For many it is their first language.  I see no problem with their teaching it to others.

  3. because Filipinos are smart and English is their secondary language
