This rabbit is so hyper!!?

We recently adopted a very young dwarf angora rabbit, and as friendly and eager as he is to be handled/by our side, we can't get him to settle down! He's constantly climbing the couches and hopping about, and if we place him in his cage he manages to escape every time. It's not that we don't love it, it's just that he gets into an awful lot of trouble >_0

Is this hyper activeness and curiosity normal for rabbits? How can we get him to chill out?

  1. Yup, dwarfs tend to be hyper, he will settle down as he gets older. Try getting him toys to keep himself occupied.

Bottlecaps, baby links, and phonebooks all help keep them occupied.

this site has a bunch of great toys: http://www.binkybunny.com/SHOP/tabid/55/...

Since your bunny is so hyper may I suggest an x-pen set up? They are great for hyper bunnies.

Petwerks also makes great cages and toys, though they tend to be more expensive: http://www.petwerks.com/
