Question:

This recurring dream and what it could mean?

I have this dream a lot. I'm at home and notice the side door is unlocked. I go to lock it and as soon as I put my hand on the doorknob and am trying to lock it, there's someone pushing against the door and trying to break in. And I can never hold them off or lock the door. They always bust in. And then I wake up.

Any dream analysis of what it could mean? Someone want to play amateur dream interpreter?

  1. I think it means that you should make sure your doors are locked before you go to bed.

  2. Sounds like you may have repressed feelings of guilt. You may be trying to keep others from discovering this by shutting them out, but in the end your fear of them finding out overwhelms you.

It may be something you are actually feeling guilty about, or your perception of what others might think.

The best way to handle it is to try to distinguish what may be causing this feeling and share it with someone whom you trust. Get their reaction and go from there.

Hopefully this dream will subside and you can get some good rest.

  3. Maybe its that in reality you are blocking people out.  Are you quite a closed person? Do not let people in to share your feelings etc. Maybe there's someone (girlfriend/boyfriend) that you are not opening up with properly.

  4. Ultimately this is a message of the power of your spirit over the body.  In this dream, the house is symbolic of your physical body, but the fact that your mind has set the dream up in the way it did means it's a perfect mental construct for you to use to think about the way you live your life, because it was all created BY your mind because of the way you think.

So you come home and notice the side door is unlocked, and then you go to lock it.  It means that you're careful about what you choose to believe in.  It also means you both want to lock into your mind the things you like to believe, while locking out the things you don't want to believe.

Then someone is pushing against the door, trying to break in, but you can't hold them off.  This is telling you that the power of the spirit will win in the end, because it is pre-destined to rule the flesh and immortalize it.

I think the fact that they always break in is an indicator that you love your beliefs just the way they are, and you don't want them to change.  But if your beliefs don't change, your body can't change.  Your spirit wants to begin changing your body so badly that it has resorted to recurring dreams of breaking and entering, to get your attention to please... don't make me break in to wake you up... Just allow me to come in and we can spend more time communicating, and less time fighting the unavoidable date of our meeting and reconciliation.  Accepting this as real and not something to be feared will help the dreams subside.  After accepting this, however, there will be a burst of retaliation from your spirit for having resisted so long.  Having read about this from me, however, and having this understanding should soften it to a breeze.

  5. You may be feeling insecure in your life. This may be due to something or someone you are losing trust lately.

Normally when you are dreaming of room, house, door, those are the symbols of your privacy.

Projecting someone pushing door and trying to break in may suggest that you are feeling lack of control in life.  That is due to some sort of privacy invasion you may be experiencing.

Examine your life lately, may be you will know exactly what trigger this dream

  6. It could mean a couple of different things.

Sometimes we have "boundary" issues- can't keep others out of our personal space & let people get too close.

It could also mean you're feeling weak or vulnerable, like maybe too emotional or need to bulk up/work out more.

  7. I wonder if it means that you're having some feelings of helplessness or anxiety about something going on in your life?  Just a guess.
