One day, abu nawas was on his way to neighbouring city. In the middle of the journey, he met 2-way-branch of a road. He didn't know which branch he should take. In the middle of the branch, lived two twin brothers. Now this twin brothers had uncanny resemblance, but one of them is a liar and one of them is honest. Only one of the twins may come out and answer him. It could be the liar one or the honest one.

How should abu nawas ask these twins which branch of road he must take in just one question? Remember just one question.

  1. Ask him "which road will your brother tell me to take?" If you are talking to the liar he will lie and tell you the wrong road- if you are talking to the truthful brother he will tell you what the liar will say-the wrong road again. So you ask either one what their brother will say and then go down the other road to get to  your destination.

  2. Ask the twin "Which branch of road would your brother tell me to take?"

The honest twin would say his brother would tell abu the wrong path because he's honest. The lying twin would also say his brother would tell abu the wrong path because he's dishonest.

So by asking "Which branch of road would your brother tell me to take?"

Whatever path they answer will be the wrong path so abu should take the opposite path.

Yay, I got it right! ^___^
