This saturday (April 28) like what kind of races are they going to be doing?

There's like the races well the final races for the Kentucky Derby. I just wanted to know what time there on eaither all day or w/e. And like what horses will be running so please help me out! lol

Nobody preps for the Kentucky Derby the week before it because that would be too soon to bring a horse back.  Churchill runs a race called the "Derby Trial" but believe me, it's anything but a "trial" for the Derby!  

The biggest race this weekend is the Withers at Aqueduct which is a viable prep for the Preakness.  Last year's winner went on to win the Preakness.

Saturday is opening day at Churchill Downs and Delaware Park (where I will be).

It's Derby Week in Louisville next week.......The Thunder-Over-Louisville was spectacular last Sat. from 3 to 11Pm.   Over 800,000 people watched the air show and fireworks display from the banks of the Ohio.

There are too many events to name coming up next week but there are three worth mentioning;  The huge "Balloon Race" and the annual riverboat race between the Belle of Louisville and the Delta Queen.  Also the Oaks race for phillies will run Friday and it's almost as prestigious as the Derby.

The Ky Derby will run next Sat. approx. 5-6pm depending on the  TV time.  The favorite is Curlin, followed by Street Sense, and my pick is Dominican.  There will probably be a 10 or 11 race program Derby Day which will all be televised.

Louisville is the home of the Cardinals (Orange Bowl Champs) and a great basketball tradition headed up by Rick Pitino.     We all pride ourselves with the fact we have so many beautiful thoroughbreds and fast women.  lol   It's exciting around here and a party atmosphere all week long. The final Derby preps have concluded.  Right now Graded Stakes earnings will determine the field for the Derby and the last Graded prep was run last weekend (the Coolmore Lexington).  This Saturday will be the ungraded Derby Trial, which figures to draw several horses currently 'on the bubble' including Teuflesburg and Bwana Bull.  Saturday is also the Withers S. from Aqueduct (a race won last year by Bernardini).  Pointing to the Withers are CP West, Street Magician, Ellusive Warning, Blue Bullet, Frosty Secret, Brisco N Logan and Mint Slewlep.  Street Magician and Elusive Warning are both colts who may point to the Preakness with a good performance here.

Neither of these races are on national tv but you can watch on TVG if you get it.  The only national horse racing coverage will be the Barbaro documentary on Sunday at 5pm, NBC.
