This sounds stupid, but whats a detailed list of what you need for school (i'm 14)?

see i'm starting a new school now and i''ve never quite known what EXACTLY you need to bring, and where the best places to buy it is. and also how not to lose it all in the first 2 days (not even exaggerating)

Well it depends what subjects you choose. But for regular English, maths  and science classes you will need:

-a black/blue pen or pencil

-a ruler (30 cm)

-a calculator

-protractor

-colored pencils and pens

and that's the basics but you will also need lined books

for other classes such as art you'll need certain pencils and art paper.....all this depends on the school your going to and what they supply. But good luck

on your first day, bring a notebook and a pen, and take notes on what you need.

your teachers should go over what you need for their class.

It's not a huge deal if you forget anything

and as for not losing it? just keep it all in one place. like your backpack or locker.

coooool im 14 too and i'm heading to Mangotsfield school in Bristol, I bought the uniform, got my favourite type of pens (i never use pencils i dont like them) i bought some cool notebooks colorful stuff i also carry my back bag because we dont have lockers in that school, i go on the bike so i carry a lock to park it, a corrector and ruler are essential and a rubber/sharpner if you use pencils, i also carry a big smile of confidence (so you'll give other pupils the idea that you're the monster not the victim)

good luck and dont worry i already moved 7 schools, who cares they all look the same :P

PS: dont waste your time and dont carry complicated stuff like compasses and stuff, wait till the teacher tells you to bring them, its impossible that you need them on the first day

If you're 14, I take it you're either in the 8th or 9th grade. High school does require a little bit more than middle school, but it's not too different.

Bring a backpack, paper, folder, pencils, pens, erasers. Might even want a calculator -- a scientific one could help if you can get one.

As for not losing the stuff, well, that's where the backpack comes into play. Just don't lose the backpack. :)

Eventually, you might have to carry quite a bit of books and course paperwork (especially if you're in high school).

As for where to buy it, you can find such things almost anywhere. Target, Wal-Mart, stationery stores, office stores, even supermarkets and 99 cents stores. Even toy stores may have some school supplies.
