sometimes when I'm on the internet and try to go to another page, this thing pops up that says "Dial-up Connection", and there are three choices you can click on -connect, settings, and work offline- ok so when i click on connect this other thing pops up that says i have to fill in the user name and password. i don't even think i know the user name or password, i don't even know what it is talking about. so all i do is exit out that pop up thing. but then i have to go to the top right corner of my window and click on tools and then uncheck "Work Offline"

this has happened soooo many times, and right now, every time time i tried going to a different page or site, that stupid thing pops up. i have to keep on exiting it out, and then unchecking "Work Offline".

it is getting sooooo annoying, what can i do??

  1. Tools, options, connections, never dial a connection, OK...?

  2. pop ups like this are typical spyware/maleware or a virus----whats your computer anti virus doing?don't fill in any bogus "user name and password" fields------use a good anti virus program---also get Spybot Search&Destroy ver 1.6 from www.safer-networking.org ,remember to get the latest definitions file also from this site. Before running Spybot open the spybotsd_includes.exe file to update the definitions database of Spybot--- Next get Malewarebytes Anti-Maleware from www.malewarebytes.org----download and run a scan .Both of these programs are well known and trusted.
