I made a BIG box trap. I mean BIG. I could trap a coyote in it....or 2!!!

Anyways, it took me forever to build, i used a hand-saw to cut 2 35 1/8 inch long boards into 4 halves the same length. Im not sure how tall, about 15 in'.

However when i finished i couldnt decide what to trap. So after a while i decided on a rabbit. I baited the trap with green grapes.

Will this bring in a rabbit. What other critters will it attract?

  1. for rabbits use peanut butter, kale and carrots.

  2. wow ! it depends on the bait. what if you catch a dog or cat. what are you looking to catch.

  3. Grapes? we always used lettuce ad fresh green clover for rabbits. You may end up with a skunk, possum or even a crow etc with grapes.

    good luck

  4. Bugs Bunny always was a sucker for carrots.

  5. It is doubtful you'll catch a rabbit in a box that size, but it could work.  But, if you are determined, use apples for bait.  I cannot count the number of rabbits we have caught using apples.  Good luck.

  6. i will be supprised if a rabbit wants to go in that big box. and i have built wood llive traps before and they work GREAT!! except that if you get a critter that really hates being in there they will chew there way out and then you have a trap with a hole in it and a lost animal so think about that when you set your trap. you can line the inside with sheet metal or wire mesh though

  7. Maybe, if you wait long enough, sit very sit.  But if you learn how to snare them you can spend 15 mins setting your snares and then come back the next morning to collect yer rabbits.
