This was my first time riding a horse, and i think im supposed to be on the back of a horse?

Question

ive always loved horses, but i never had complete control, like people would always hold the horse then walk around, i never got the reins.

i rode my horse for the first time ever yesterday, reins and all.

and once i got on, i felt her mouth through the reins, i felt what she was about to do before she did it, she actually listened to me, she was VERY fresh yesterday lol.

right when i asked her to do something, she did it, no backtalk, and just, idk, usually you need some sort of lesson, but i just got up in the saddle, and it just felt right,, you know?

so has anyone else had this feeling?

I do know. Thats the great feeling I get everytime I get on my horse and she listens and jumps well.

it is what happens when you really bond with a horse.

you feel like youre one, you merge, she will feel your thaughts and feelings through the reins (like fear, excitment) but you dont always feel hers, but it sounds like youve got it!

is she your horse? if not its a real shame because you dont get that bond with just any old horse.
