  1. I agree, I wasn't surprised with Andy's loss. He usually blows it, and I didn't expect him to make it to the semis. Blake, same thing.

  2. I sure do hope they (Roger and Rafa) won't get out of wimbledon until they reach the finals.............................waiti... for a close contest......just like that Ana - Dechy match....

  3. i think it is pretty weird. roddick was going out. I saw that coming b4 the match started. He has nothing but a serve to make him win. Sharapova deserved to lose. She thinks she is so good. I would like to see some1 else win a slam beside rafa and roger. (I know novak won thw australian open) I would like to see some1 like Safin take the gold. I think that there should be a new winner who will end fed's grass court wins.

  4. Clearly novak is not in form.I think he is mentally tired(although I hate him more than the Jonas Brothers).Rodick wasn't a shock for me.Look at Tipsarevic. He took federer to five sets at the aussie open.It was federer who just scraped through that match! And also the grass at wimbledon stays slow for the !st week and then the courts become faster. So tipsarevic returned his serve well today which is the key against roddick!

Blake doesn't have a grasscourt game. He's a great player on hard court!

I was genuinely shocked to see Maria though.I never expected that! That too in straight sets!I think her confidence is low but she'll come back or maybe we are seeing another Anna Kournikova in the making.......

Roger and Rafa will never get out. They are just too good in tight situations!

I think there are going to be a few more upsets whether we like it or not!Tennis is getting so much tougher........

There I answered all your questions! This was my first ever answer. Sorry if it was a bit too long.....

    Cheers!

  5. It's been crazy so far. I hope new players come up now instead of the same over and over. As much as i like Rafael, I think it would be good if Rafael, Roger, Ana, and the Williams sisters lost. There's more parity in the game and it's starting to show.

  6. I'm not really shocked with Roddick and Blake's losses...I don't expect them to make it as far into the draw as others expect.  Their level of play is just not enough to compete with the current players.  Both of them play very streaky.

Once Blake was into the 5th set I knew it was over for him.  He has a horrible record when playing all 5 sets.

Roddick hasn't won a major since US Open 2003, and hasn't played in the final of a major in 2 years.  Everyone expects more of him than the performance he has delivered that past few years.

I was definitely surprised by Djokovic's loss.  I didn't see the match, but when I saw the results I was a little shocked.  Definitely not what I expect from the #3 player.

Maria's match was very good, just too bad it wasn't good on her end.  It's funny because she LOVES Wimbledon, she claims she loves playing on the grass.  When she loss in the 4th round of the French Open she was looking forward to Wimbledon bc she loves it so much.  Guess the grass wasn't her friend today.

  7. It can highlight the ridiculousness of having grass as a playing service. Most players will have just one other tornament to get used to it during the whole year. It's slippery and the baselines are already worn and pitted.America dropped grass in the late 70s,australia dropped grass in the early 80s,it's time for wimbledon to become a hard cort championship.Shock, horror, how dare the upstart meddle with our wimbledon

  8. I have to say I hope the upset lasts a little longer - I would like to see Federer out. I just am not that keen on him!

  9. given the choice though, would you like to be seeded ;)

  10. it is not that surprising considering the men's game has alot of potential top 10 players who are ranked in the top10-100-120. Standard is high in the men's game and with the women however the standard is very low but all of them are playing there or there abouts the same. So it is no surprise sharapova went out because there are better girls out there than her who hit the ball as hard if not harder. Plus she has a rubbish serve.
