This woman asking for my details on the street..?

Today when i was shopping this woman came up to me and said Hi would you be interested in getting a free clothes catalogue, I thought I would be nice and went along with it, she had this little machine and i gave her my address, tel, date of birth, name and signature. But then I walked away and was like err why did I bother doing that i don’t even want the catalogue!!

I mean i didnt give her my credit card details or anything like that.

she probably phoned her mate who went to your house but could not find anything worth stealing

Just do not buy from the catalogue when it comes.   Hope you checked her ID

you probably shouldnt have given her your details but its done now so lets hope that she was genuine in what she said she was doing - there are scams by which people use your ID - illegal immigrants etc, so you could be unfortunate if you have been scammed in a case like this

I wouldn't give ANY stranger feck all information about me.

Did you get any pamphlet or information from her. A number of the catalogue company? Are they listed on companies house?

I'd be worried about Identity fraud if I was you. Did she ask for your mothers maiden name???? This is a BIG ALARM BELL If she did.

Nah, you're ok. If you ever do have any problems, they can't prove it was even you, somebody else might have given your details, or you may not even have received it.

Unless you signed a contract to say you would buy something, you dont need to worry.
