What the h**l, i often see this type of question and wonder where its coming from, i love America, i think its great, i travelled from New York to LA, via New Orleans, i didnt meet one person who wasnt friendly, i even tried to emigrate there once, but lacked the skilled trade to be able to stay. i simply fell in love with the southern drawl in Alabama but also thought everything else was great to, i think its the polititans in both of our countrys that make us think these bad things or at least the newspapers that turn a story around to sell the papers, but from my point of view, you guys are great

I am neither "Brit" nor "Yank" and even though your question doesn't seem to be serious, I will give you my honest opinion.

Americans aren't ill informed, as you already seem to be implying by the way you formulated your question. They have access to the most accurate information in the entire world but many US citizens seem to prefer to ignore the facts and follow their gut feeling.

This can sometimes be a virtue, when this leads to quick action and crises don't spread needlessly. Sometimes though, there are situations that are so different from anything they have ever experienced, there is no way their gut could point them in the right direction without first being informed about these different values...

In these cases the problem then isn't the fact that they don't have the information, it's the arrogance that makes them believe they don't need it...

If it will lead to anyone's destruction I don't know, but it has certainly caused unnecessary suffering among people all over the world already, including within the US itself...

I think your governments' strategy was all wrong.  Having rendered Iraq's army hopeless, they should have left the mopping up to the Turks and Syrians and then negotiate for better terms to get their money back through oil. After all, Iraq and Iran were part of the Turkish Empire until the west messed around with them.

Well I play Xbox Live a lot and most of the people on there are American. Most of them are OK But Ive only got a problem with the ones who abuse England. Its the same in England We've got loads of Chavs who Put down America but both countries have helped each other in the past, I don't know why this rivalry exists ??

It would be nice if your politicians used their brains and common sense a bit more and stopped being influenced by lobbyist's.

Why don't you have a health service? It's a disgrace that a country as wealthy as the US has people without health insurance, yet in countries like Switzerland, Germany, France, Spain and the UK (where you could argue that Dr's aren't exactly starving), everyone is insured. Too many vested interests/lobbying....by those who can afford insurance coverage of course.

You could s***w the oil sheiks if you drove less thirsty cars, so you wouldn't need to invade countries so companies like Haliburton can con them out of their oil or that you pay inflated prices for it.

Well to be honest i like americans. I think your all mega freindly and i admire how open and honest you can all be. Brits like to keep things close to their heart, wheras americans are very open opinionated and like to let everyone know what they think. Personally i think its a great ethos to live life by and i wish Brits could be the same.
