I am a hindu but really don't believe in it at all. In my heart I feel as if Islam is the correct religion as im one of the against nwo pple. The problem being my parents are against islam and i don't know how i would tell them and my family. They wouldnt disown me but i know they would feel differently. Is there any way I could become Muslim without making it obvious because I really don't want to go against god and commit shirk. Also at the moment i feel as if i am a good guy but would that be enough in islams eyes if i ditched hinduism but totally believed in god but not religion because i feel it is man made. Would I be awaiting eternal damnation?

  1. You are in a difficult situation and may God show you an easy way out. You are also brave to challenge the norms that you were brought up with. That's not easy.

Islam teaches freedom of religion and consciousness. Always search for the truth and you would know intuitively if it is the truth. Be true to yourself by not allowing yourself to follow that which is not true. Pray to God and ask Him to help you and open your way.

Personally I think that you should spend more time studying all religions now that you are considering a change. You are still young and perhaps you would think differently as you mature. When you have made up your mind then it should be a permanent and a complete change, accepting everything. You cannot say I am a Muslim but I believe that Islam as a religion is man made, for that would be out of the fold of Islam. Don't change hastily and later want to change again.

On the other hand, youth are the strength of a nation. What I did as a youth, I do not think that I would be able to do the same in my middle age and during my old age. I was so passionate, vibrant and out spoken then.

I love my parents and I care for them always but I would still stand up for truth. May you find the Truth and may you have the strength to stand up for it..

  2. as an individual you may believe in any faith you like, but ensure that your karmas are good.

If you ever convert to islam, do ensure that your practices do not hurt the sentiments of your parents.

Parents are a form of god. (Twmeva mata cha pita twameva - Your father and your the mother).

If you hurt your parents sentiments.. the no matter what faith you follow.. u'll never attain salvation or go to heaven (as in islam).

  3. And We verily gave Abraham of old his proper course, and We were Aware of him, (51) When he said unto his father and his folk: What are these images unto which ye pay devotion? (52) They said: We found our fathers worshippers of them. (53)

He said: Verily ye and your fathers were in plain error. (54) They said: Bringest thou unto us the truth, or art thou some jester? (55) He said: Nay, but your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, Who created them; and I am of those who testify unto that. (56) And, by Allah, I shall circumvent your idols after ye have gone away and turned your backs. (57)

Then he reduced them to fragments, all save the chief of them, that haply they might have recourse to it. (58) They said: Who hath done this to our gods? Surely it must be some evil-doer. (59) They said: We heard a youth make mention of them, who is called Abraham. (60) They said: Then bring him (hither) before the people's eyes that they may testify. (61)

They said: Is it thou who hast done this to our gods, O Abraham? (62) He said: But this, their chief hath done it. So question them, if they can speak. (63) Then gathered they apart and said: Lo! ye yourselves are the wrong-doers. (64) And they were utterly confounded, and they said: Well thou knowest that these speak not. (65)

He said: Worship ye then instead of Allah that which cannot profit you at all, nor harm you? (66) Fie on you and all that ye worship instead of Allah! Have ye then no sense? (67) They cried: Burn him and stand by your gods, if ye will be doing. (68) We said: O fire, be coolness and peace for Abraham, (69) And they wished to set a snare for him, but We made them the greater losers. (70)

Allah is One, therefore worship your 1Lord & not what your parents want u to worship. in our Return to our 1Owner, each of us are going to be responsible for our own works, your parents u cant blaim nor can they save u.

worship Allah alone & follow what He has revealed to nabi Muhammad sallalahu alayhi wa salaam in the Quran, to strengthen one's character.

if u pick & choose u are committing wrong by not listening/being obedient to Allah & therefore weakening your character, ex dwelling in error of drinking, cursing etc. strengthen yourself by doing good & refraining from evil.

you will be rewarded for your deeds: good, Garden, bad, Fire. on our Day of Mutual meeting with our 1AbsoluteRuler a Recorded will be shown to each of us & none shall be wronged, only what u earned.

life can be lived with simplicity.

  4. I would believe so. Islam believes that its works that get you into salvation. If that's good enough for you. Maybe as you grow older, the Truth will be revealed.

  5. Religion is nothing more than nonsensical delusion. Which brand of delusion you choose to immerse yourself in is irrelevant. Do yourself a favor and reject all of it as the intellectual and emotional prison that it is.

  6. I don't know much about Islam but I NEVER recommend that teens tell their parents that they have different religious views. Better to lie and wait until independence than to have to live with people who abhor your very beliefs.

  7. Intelligent, educated people do not convert to Islam. You may want to reject Hinduism, but that doesn't mean you have to attach yourself to something negative.
