Thomas Levet in good form at the Lyoness Open
Three days of the Lyoness Open are over. The biggest names in the world are fighting it out at the prestigious Diamond Country Club in Atzenbrugg, Austria. The four-day event teed off on the 25th of July and is supposed to end on the 28th
of July.
Many players have given an impressive performance in the tournament. The list also includes French professional golfer Thomas Levet.
Levet has performed very well till now in the tournament. His first round was one of the most impressive ones. On the first day, he carded four birdies and a single bogey on the front nine.
His back nine was about the same, as he scored four birdies again. These made his score seven-under par for the day.
Levet’s second day was not as good. He had two birdies and two bogeys on the front nine. He played a bit better on the back nine and managed to card two birdies. These made his score two-under par on the day and his total score was nine-under par.
He had a bad start to the third round, as he carded two bogeys on the first three holes. Towards the end of the front nine, he managed to score three birdies on the sixth, eighth and ninth hole.
He made an amazing start to his back nine. He started off with an eagle on the tenth hole. Later on, he managed another birdie on the thirteenth hole. Levet ended his day with a bogey, which came on the seventeenth hole.
There were no double bogeys throughout the three days. These made Levet’s score three-under par on the last day and his total score climbed up to twelve-under par.
Levet ended the third round tied on the third spot with three other players. He is behind Rikard Karlberg by one stroke. The latter has a thirteen-under par after the three days. Karlberg has successfully occupied the second position on the leaderboard.
Levet is just four strokes behind the leader of the tournament, Thorbjørn Olesen. He has a magnificent sixteen-under par after the third day of the tournament.
