The Bayern Munich midfielder believes that the Bundesliga is the best league in Europe and is better than Spanish La Liga and the English Premier League.
Thomas Muller reckons that the Bundesliga is unpredictable than the respective leagues in Spain and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, which is why it's the best. He feels that the German clubs are more competitive, and there are at least five or six contenders
for the top place finish every season.
Muller added that there are only two teams in Spain which compete to lift La Liga crown: Real Madrid and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 or the top-four have fought for the title.
The midfielder believes that the competition is much stronger in Germany than in England or http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011, and expressed pleasure on being a part of such competitive league.
While talking to Goal.com, the German international further mentioned:
"For me, the Bundesliga is a stronger competition than the English and Spanish leagues. In Germany, there are a lot of teams that are fighting for a place in the top five. In Spain, there are only two strong teams, and in England
there are four teams. There are several strong teams in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 that can all beat each other. The Bundesliga is much more balanced in my opinion."
Muller’s claims are justified by the fact that there have been four different winners of the Bundesliga in the last five years. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 were the shock league champions at the end of the 2008/09 season in the presence of top
clubs such as Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen.
The next season, it was Schalke who qualified for the UEFA Champions League, while the reigning German champions just avoided relegation. Borussia Dortmund won the competition last season which is a clear indication that a winner
can’t be predicted in Germany until the last day of the season.
Bayern Munich are currently atop the league table with 37 points, followed by reigning champions, Borussia Dortmund. Schalke are third on the list, level on points with Dortmund, while last season’s relegation contenders, Borussia
Monchengladbach, are fourth with 33 points.
